The illustrations are ah-mazing!! It's hard to imagine a FAMILY of CHILDREN did this no wonder it became a best seller, though: it is PURE GENIUS! KUDOS JFAM!! Fresh and fabulous

This is a fun, vibrant book that encourages young children to be proud of who they are and how they look. Clearly this focuses on children of color, but i think that any child can both learn how to respect the uniqueness of others and themselves.

I find it especially fun that a family of children (all under the age of 13) wrote and illustrated the book. It's a short read, but one that comes with a powerful message and a clear directive - love who you are.
